Terms & conditions

The fine print for stays, events, visits to the farm and our shop, written as plainly as we could.
Last updated 28 September 2026

1. About these terms

These terms apply when you use this website, book a stay or event at The Ridgeway Ranch, visit the property, or buy from our shop. The Ridgeway Ranch is operated by Daniel Dixon (ABN 49 960 833 850) in Wamberal, NSW.

By making a booking or placing an order, you agree to these terms on behalf of yourself and everyone in your group.
Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Where the law gives you a guarantee or remedy that can’t be excluded, it still applies.

2. Farm stays

Booking and payment

Stays booked on this website are handled through our booking system, Guesty. The price, payment schedule and cancellation policy shown at the time you book form part of your booking. If you book through Airbnb, Booking.com or VRBO, that platform’s terms and the cancellation policy on your listing apply instead.

Cancellations

For stays booked directly with us:

During your stay

Damage

You’re responsible for any damage to the property, furnishings or equipment beyond normal wear and tear caused by you or your guests.

3. Events

Enquiries and quotes

Sending an enquiry doesn’t reserve a date. All events are subject to our approval. We’ll reply with a written quote for your chosen package (Farm Gathering, Farm Luxe Celebration or Signature Ridgeway Event), and your date is confirmed once you’ve accepted the quote and paid in full.

We host a maximum of 50 event guests. If your group is staying overnight, a 2-night minimum applies, charged at our nightly rates plus a separate cleaning fee.

Payment

Cancellations and changes

If you need to change your date, let us know as early as possible. We need at least 30 days’ notice before your event to change the date, and we’ll do our best to move your booking to another available date.

If we have to cancel because the property can’t safely be used, for example due to severe weather, bushfire, flooding or a public health order, we’ll offer you a new date or a full refund of what you’ve paid.

On the day

Weather

Ours is an outdoor venue and we can’t control the weather. Rain alone isn’t a reason for cancellation or refund, so we recommend planning a wet-weather option with us when you book.

4. Animals and farm safety

The Ridgeway Ranch is a working farm with alpacas, ponies, goats, sheep and chickens. Meeting them is one of the best parts of a visit, and we ask everyone to help keep people and animals safe.
By visiting the farm, you acknowledge these risks. We may ask anyone who puts people or animals at risk to leave the property.

5. Merchandise

Our hats, soft toys and other merchandise are sold through our website. Prices are in Australian dollars and include GST. Delivery costs and estimated delivery times are shown at checkout.

If an item arrives faulty or damaged, or isn’t as described, contact us and we’ll repair, replace or refund it in line with the Australian Consumer Law. We don’t offer refunds or exchanges for change of mind.

Our soft toys are suitable for ages 3 and up.

6. Prices and availability

We keep prices and package details on this website up to date, but they can change. The price confirmed in your booking or written quote is the price you pay. If we make an obvious error on the website, we’ll let you know before taking payment.

7. Our responsibility to you

We’ll provide our services with due care and skill. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t responsible for:
Where our liability is limited, it’s limited to supplying the service again or refunding what you paid for it. We strongly recommend travel insurance for stays, and event insurance for events.

8. Using this website

The words, photos, logo and designs on this website belong to The Ridgeway Ranch or are used with permission. Please don’t copy or reuse them without asking us first. You’re welcome to share links to our pages and posts.

We try to keep the information here accurate, but it may occasionally be out of date. Links to other websites are provided for convenience, and we aren’t responsible for their content.

9. Privacy

Our privacy policy explains how we collect, use and protect your personal information.

10. General

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. We may update these terms from time to time, and the version on this page when you book is the one that applies to your booking.
